Opening the arts to every child
Support
Launched in 2026, QPAC's Creative Learning program is a year-round education initiative that brings together exceptional artists, educators, live experiences, digital learning and emerging technologies to make high-quality arts education accessible to young people. Out of the Box is the key offering for early years audiences within QPAC’s Creative Learning Program.
Support Out of the Box
Since 1992, the Out of the Box festival has been a national leader in arts programming for children aged eight and under, nurturing creativity and imagination through experiences that inspire curiosity and belonging. As anticipation builds for 2027, QPAC looks forward to delivering another vibrant Out of the Box festival, focused on the theme of Belonging.
We invite you to consider QPAC in your philanthropic giving and directly support QPAC’s biennial celebration of young children, aged 0-8, and help us bring this festival to life in 2027.
In June 2025, Out of the Box reached a significant milestone, returning triumphantly after a seven-year hiatus. The program renewed QPAC’s relationships with schools and early childhood learning centres, commissioned award-winning new works of artistic significance for children, and attracted strong support from sponsors and philanthropic partners. Warmly received by artists, audiences, schools and the broader sector, the festival reaffirmed QPAC’s position as a national leader in children’s programming.
Your philanthropic support can make all the difference to the Out of the Box festival, fostering a sense of belonging and a lifelong love of the arts in our youngest community members.

Support Care for a Class

With thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Care for a Class enabled over 1000 children to experience the Out of the Box in 2025. Donations received this year will help ensure even more young people can participate in these life-enriching opportunities.
Donations to Care for a Class will support the following for the 2027 Out of the Box festival:
- Transport assistance - Covering the cost of charter buses to and from QPAC for schools that could not attend due to transport expenses.
- Ticket assistance - Providing tickets to In-Theatre performances for schools that have transport covered but find ticket costs prohibitive.
- Lunches - Providing meals for students from schools that identify food support as an additional barrier to participation.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, the Creative Learning team works directly with schools to understand the barriers affecting their participation. Funds raised through the Care for a Class campaign cover full or partial coverage of these costs, according to the needs of the school.
Donations over $1000 will be acknowledged on this webpage as well as in select printed programs.
