A Workshop with Artist Towfiq Alqudy
The Queensland Art Gallery’s Children’s Art Centre
Iraq-born artist Towfiq Alqudy will look at the varied ways that people can be important in our lives. Using a range of materials, including watercolour pencils, children will explore key ideas such as unity, peace and community that have been significant in Towfiq’s art practice. Through creating selfportraits and portraits of signifi cant people in their lives, children will contribute to a collaborative display as well as making something to take home.
Age Suitability 3 to 8 year olds
