QUEENSLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTRECascade Court A covered outdoor area at the entrance to QPAC. Most of the children’s seating is on cushions on the ground, but there are also tables and chairs and the coffee shop is close by.Concert Hall QPAC’s second largest venue is a traditional concert space with theatre-style seating and featuring an enormous pipe organ! Allocated (numbered) seating will apply for all performances in the Concert Hall.Concert Hall FoyerA large gathering space outside the Concert Hall on the Melbourne Street side of QPAC featuring some foyer seating and workstations (tables and chairs) for children and their carers.
Cremorne TheatreQPAC’s smallest theatre, allowing the audience to get closer to the action on stage. Allocated (numbered) seating will apply to performances at the Cremorne Theatre.
Function Room This bright and open room is on QPAC’s Rooftop and overlooks the Brisbane River. It features an indoor and outdoor area. Lyrebird RestaurantLocated at the main entrance to QPAC and overlooking the Cascade Court, QPAC’s a la carte restaurant will transform during the festival into a space for story readings and the festival bookshop. Morning and afternoon tea will also be available for purchase.Lyric Theatre The Lyric Theatre is QPAC’s largest venue, featuring stalls and two balconies overlooking a large stage. Only the stalls seating will be in use during the festival and allocated (numbered) seating will apply.Lyric Theatre LoungeA bright open space on Level 4 on the river side of QPAC, above the Lyric Theatre side foyer.Minstrel Gallery This is the upper foyer area, underneath the giant Pacific Nexus Mural, between the Concert Hall and the Lyric Theatre.PlayhouseThe Playhouse is a modern proscenium arch theatre with high-tech features. Children will be seated in theatre style seats. Allocated (numbered) seating will apply for performances in the Playhouse.
Playhouse Balcony FoyerAn open foyer, located on the level above the Playhouse Stalls foyer at the South Bank Parklands end of QPAC.
Playhouse LoungeAnother bright space, overlooking the Brisbane River to the City on Level 4, towards the South Bank Parklands end of QPAC.
Playhouse StageAt the rear of the main Playhouse stage, audience will seat on cushions on the stage to allow closer experience of and participation in the action.
Studio 1Accessed through the Playhouse entrance of QPAC, Studio 1 is a large open studio space. Studio 2Accessed through the Playhouse entrance of QPAC, Studio 2 is a large open space where children will be seated on cushions on the floor and the action will take place around them.
Tony Gould GalleryThe gallery is on the ground level and is accessed through the Cremorne Theatre entrance of QPAC. Seating will be on cushions on the floor for closer experience of the performance.
QUEENSLAND MUSEUM SOUTH BANKTheatreThe Museum Theatre seats 150 and is located off the main foyer on Level 2.

STATE LIBRARY OF QUEENSLAND1.38 InfozoneLocated at the back of Infozone, this area has been transformed into The Parlour, a gaming space for the whole family.
Knowledge WalkThe Knowledge Walk leads through the ground level and into the heart of the State Library.
kuril dhagun Indigenous Knowledge Centrekuril dhagun is an exciting interactive space where you can gain a deeper understanding of the history of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
The CornerThis creative hands-on and minds-on space is designed especially for children U8, their parents, carers, educators and friends.
The Edge AuditoriumThe Edge Auditorium, State Library’s soon to be redeveloped space overlooking the river, is a beautiful performance and workshop area.
The StudioLocated next to Reception and opposite The Library Shop, this large studio space is used for an incredible array of performances, workshops, installations and exhibitions. [Back to top]
