QPAC and Jagera Jarjum
From time beyond memory, people have journeyed between the Red Earth of the western plains of Queensland and the Blue Water of South East Queensland. These journeys renewed friendships, connected families and inspired the exchange of songs and stories of the land.
Red Earth, Blue Water movingly re-enacts this sense of place. Regardless of where you come from, by acknowledging where you are now and learning from the traditional owners, the country you walk on will look after you.
Created by the award-winning Jagera Jarjum Dance Group and using traditional storytelling through song, dance and participation, Red Earth, Blue Water is a unique opportunity for children to experience the rich and playful world of Aboriginal culture.
