Tours for KidsSidney Nolan: A New Retrospective
The Queensland Art Gallery’s Children’s Art Centre presents specially designed Tours for Kids which provide children in family and school groups with the opportunity to explore the works of Australian artist Sidney Nolan. The exhibition Sidney Nolan: A New Retrospective – an Art Gallery of New South Wales travelling exhibition – contains works inspired by landscapes, myths and historical events. Some of Nolan’s significant paintings from the first Ned Kelly series will be featured in these tours. Interactive components, including storytelling and hands-on elements such as props and sensory clues, help children engage with ideas and the artworks.
To avoid overcrowding, the number of group bookings on busy days will be limited. School group bookings essential (minimum of 30 children per group + parents and carers) schoolbookings@qag.qld.gov.au. Groups of 10 or more require at least 72 hours notice.
