Find out which plants from the garden are good to eat and use them in a muffin that you bake to take home.

Aspiring masterchefs share the joys of growing, harvesting and preparing food with qualified QPAC chefs in our restaurant kitchen and garden of potted herbs and edible plants.

Things to try

  • Read about herbs and their role in healthy living
  • Talk about how the senses influence what we like to eat; taste as well as smell, sight, touch, and even sound e.g. popcorn!
  • Look at recipes in books and magazine; discuss ingredients, measurements, instructions and illustrations

Dig beneath the joys of food to discover the benefits of healthy eating. Students use their senses to identify herbs and QPAC's restaurant chefs assist children to bake a 'flourpot' muffin to take home.
