Out of the Box Volunteers
THANKS TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE 2012 FESTIVAL - WE HAVE BEEN INUNDATED. REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED.
So how do you register as an Out of the Box Volunteer for the 2014 festival?
Sign up for the OOTB e-news to receive festival news and updates.
The Out of the Box team do hope you will come on the journey with us in 2014, and look forward to meeting and working with you in the not too distant future.
The success of the Out of the Box festival can be attributed to the dedication and enthusiasm of hundreds of volunteers.
Volunteering at Out of the Box is a great experience. Volunteers who have assisted in the past have found the experience a very fulfilling one, experiencing the highest quality arts and cultural programs for this age group and gaining a unique insight into working with young children.
All volunteers will receive the popular Out of the Box t-shirt, a Volunteer Pass, lunch (if you volunteer for a whole day) and a certificate of participation. The festival will also process your blue card application if you don't already have one, and we are already planning a special thank-you for all volunteers.
Volunteers are an integral part of the success of Out of the Box. Without your assistance we would be unable to provide such an enriching and enjoyable experience to the thousands of children and school groups who attend this much-loved event.
We need you
Volunteers are required every day. You can volunteer for half a day or a full day.
Festival volunteers will be assigned to a particular role within QPAC to guide school groups and patrons around the festival, direct them to scheduled events and assist with workshops and general enquiries. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
So if you are reliable, personable, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children, we want you to be part of our team! You will be required to hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check). If you do not currently hold one or your card is due for renewal, QPAC's Human Resources Unit will coordinate the processing of Blue Card application and renewal forms.
Still need more convincing?
